Re: New here, and new to credit

Thank you Creditaddict, I like the sound of that plan a lot. Pre-Quals are usually a pretty good determinant from what I hear, and Citi seems to be mentioned a lot on here too. Sounds like I'll try them Smiley Happy

Then just to garden, that will be the hard part for me. As I mentioned I'm not so good with patience, lol.

Re: New here, and new to credit

Also, when you list income on applications use your gross amount (pre-tax). It is an expected standard in banking.

It's possible your Fifth Third card hasn't reported to the bureaus yet. So keep waiting, otherwise every new creditor will think they are the first to give you credit. No one likes being the first. 6 months with a card will lead to another approval - then 6 months with that card will lead to more approvals. If you don't have patience, you will do more damage that good. I went from $0 credit to $41k in under a year by waiting 6 months after my first card and 3 months after my second app spree. I'm glad I waited now, so you will forget all about the pain of waiting once you have achieved your goals.

In My Wallet: Amex BCP (12/12) $50,000, Chase Freedom (12/12) $16,500, Cap1 Quicksilver (6/12) $14,000, Barclaycard Rewards (5/13) $10,500, Citi Prestige (4/16) $30,000

Thank you =)  I'm trying to be patient and wait, and have been putting my post tax income, that doesn't help... lol.
