New to Amex, want Free Fico: Wait 6 statements!!

Hello,

I just wanted to make this post to give people a data point about American Express Free Fico. I have an Amex BCE and I got it in November. My first statement cut in December. I called them up today to ask about my FICO score. I was told by a CSR that was relaying information from online tech support, that I needed 6 months history with Amex before they can give me a free Fico score. I was told I should have a score available by May 2016. I told the CSR I'll mark my calendar and she laughed, because that is quite a wait.

Update: My oldest credit card is only 13 months old, I don't know if this has anything to do with the issue.

March 16th, 2016 update: I wanted to add this data point, it took 4 statements before I saw my Fico score. It just showed up today, March 16th, 2016 and I got my card November 16th, 2015. It also shows my score being 8 points lower than what I was approved with.

I was wondering has any new Amex cardholders had a quicker experience than 6 months for a free Fico score?

Is that your first Amex card ever?

But when I made my account I hit the CLI love button and they even gave me a free CLI! About $3500 worth of an increase. Not sure how AMX works but maybe I just have good luck!

I got my first Amex last Feb and had my Fico score a month or two later.

Re: New to Amex, want Free Fico: Wait 6 statements!!

My Amex FICO showed up for both (2 new) cards on my first statement. First statement was issued about 20 days after receipt of card. Not sure what that rep you spoke to was talking about.

It took some time for my 2 new Amex accounts to appear in my credit reports (about 2 1/2 months), but my FICO score showed up in my Amex accounts very quickly.

Thank you for the reply, I try the Amex online chat and see what they say.

I think it is still technically a "beta" feature and there is no rhyme or reason as to who gets it.
