When you apply for any cap1 product, they HP Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion.
So now you'll have 2 on each report just from cap1.
I would steer clear from Cap1 after this OP. Hopefully a call in to them will net you a card but i'd give BofA secured some thought.

That is stuck @ $200. They're more likely to approve for secured and you up the deposit over the course of a year.
You know what, i'm not sure if theyre still doing this but last May I apped for a BofA unsecured and they countered my with a secured card. Go to a branch and see if they still do that.
That way your not wasting a HP you should get either or.
