if it was the pre-approval link they only pull a soft. if it was a cold app then it was a hard, likely on ex.

btw, the pre-approval will not work if you are opted out.

Sorry---I don't get what you mean 'if you are opted out'?
 
Civil Judgement just pd off in 2/08
4 late pymts over a year ago (extended period of unemployment)
and tax liens pd and released, but won't come off till 2010.

I honestly don't remember the opt out?!?
 
They offered secure card app. Closed it.
I just got an Orchard card. 300 limit..(yuck!)
But gotta start somewhere!

well boa secured is a very good product that will unsecure in 9-12 months and you keep all the account history! do a search, i can't recall anyone regreting going the boa secured route.

Well, I applied for Target and Crown Jewelers.
Done enough damage for now (at least w/Target and the Orchard).
Will wait till my new banking/savings is active with Wells Fargo and 'maybe' do a secure with them.
No more after that. Just basically trying to 'dilute the bad with good' as someone wrote on the forums here! LOL
 
I also have in good standing:
 
student loans
car payment
HSBC card
1 dept store card
 
Hopefully, in a 6-12 months I'll see more improvement in my scores!
(Sigh) Just so impatient!
 
Thanks for the suggestions and responses! The only reason my scores have jumped in the last few months are the suggestions on these boards!! Smiley Happy
