I added my little brother as an AU to a few of my old high CL credit cards. He turned 18 last month, and the tradelines have already showed up on his credit reports. I pulled his credit score and he already has a FICO of 788. Obviously, b/c of his age, all his trade lines are just AUs under my account. I want to him get a CC account in his own name, and I want to know which bank will likely approve him for a CC (i.e., take AU accts into consideration)? TIA
From my research, Capital One, Chase, and even Citi will likely give him a starter card.
Discover will NOT. Is he a college student?
Also, are the cards posting to Equifax?

No, he's currently a senior in high school.
And yes, the tradelines are in all 3 major CRAs, including Equifax.
Also, because of his score, can he apply for the regular version of the card (non-student) version?

Chase doesn't consider AUs and will not issue any card without 6-12 months prior history. He'll either have to get a secured card, or perhaps a student card. I would recommend BofA to start.
I bet he could get an Amex BCE or Citi Thank You.
Thanks for all the input guys. Keep these data points coming, so I'd know which one(s) to get him initially. Would be a shame to waste an inquiry and get denied.
BoA gave me my first CC, without ANY CREDIT at all so he can try that since he already has some history. I think capital one is very good for starters, they Visa Journey card does not have an annual fee however it does have variable interest

This a good one too. I bet he could get a BoA. Just make sure it's not a Signature Visa, I don't think he would qualify yet.
My daughter was an AU on two of my cards for a little while. She recently turned 19 and also a college student and Discover recently approved her with a $500 limit. When they sent the card, it had her score at 735.
