@angelcred10 wrote:yeah, I had seen that but when I asked for the rewards they told me no..
Do I call the regular number for that or a backdoor number?
you must get unsecured.
then product change
then credit line increase
maybe even 3 calls on multiple days... each process to go through computer system.
well, the customer service there was just terrible.
Lady told me they'll ONLY do it through their internal review since I've only had that particular card 5 months now.
I find that crazy

Usually it would be 9-12 months but you might be able to request a manual review now since your credit is so much better:
update on Wally
Gave them a call they immediately transferred me to a woman who told me that they were waiting on me to call and that she pushed through the request and it is in a pending stage because of precautions in my application.
(possibly from all of those apps I've done)
Letter would be in within a week?
Hoping on approval, that would be a great mini app-spree. 3/3 so far
Now that I've mostly got this settled, (other than Wal-Mart) I've a question to ask before I go into the Garden..
CAN'T WAIT TO PULL OUT THE SHOVEL!!! haha
On my wages; about 24K, do you think I can receive a CLI on any of my recent applications via Backdoor or just all around calling the numbers?
Best Buy 1K
DiscoverIT 2.5K
Chase Freedom 3K
I'd honestly like all of them to be about the same and don't really need the extra but I like nice round numbers like 4K or so - I've been getting around fine with my other 2 at only $300 but for the sake of UTIL and 0% offers apped for them as well as gardening until I'm out of college.
My sister said through regular use she had once got a Discover up to 20K! haha
I'd also like to be clear on APRs of these last two, lets say I purchase something that is ~$800 do I now have that intro APR period to PIF ONLY the $800 or will it need to be paid within the 1st statement?
As well, I am thinking of just closing or tearing my Cap One and BoA because I don't see them growing with me due to Capital Ones negativity on CLI.
BoA I never really planned on keeping past receiving a DiscoverIT.
Also, does anyone know why DiscoverIT has so few card options or am I missing it somewhere?
Congrats on the Chase Freedom approval.
I've been tempted to apply for this card but can't really find a reason for wanting more credit
My reason was... "Why Not?" haha
I've had a banking relationship with them for about 4 1/2 years with debit - Great service!
and the Freedom looks like one of there better cards.. why would someone get a Slate or Sapphire?
The sapphire looks similar to the Freedom if I'm not mistaken?
Just points instead of cash back?
(edit) btw was approved for Freedom 0%!
Another update for those who are able to assist...
Called Secured line, they denied me switching my account from unsecured..
Told the lady just close the account and I'd take my money back.
She also said she couldn't add any rewards to the card so that was a big no IMO
Also, tried the new CLI button on Cap1 site, no dice there..
Now I was wondering what you all think would be best in terms of getting CLIs on my new cards?
Call Chase Freedom first or Discover and try to see if one can beat out the other?
