yes next statement is when they will likely update to credit report the current balance at that point.

Can be a tough game if you have just a few low limit cards.

That cap1 has got to go!

well at least get a new one with higher limit when you start seeing pre-approvals for it and then you can combine them down the road.

for future reference, you dont want ALL of your CC's to report a zero balance. FICO cant score you in the revolving area if there's nothing to score (0%). It could drop your fico score even further. Next time..let all your cards report a zero balance except for ONE, and that one card report 1-9% of the CL for a small balance to report. You will optimize your fico scores that way.

And yes...I wouldnt apply until your reports reflect the payments. As stated earlier, 77% util is too high.

Re: Nordstrom Card Question on approval

May I ask what specifically interests you in the card? It does have a fund for alterations, and I believe you get a $20-$30 certificate towards a purchase.  You do get early access to sales (like anniversary sale)....and I am told since its with TD bank it can be good for those who are dual citizen and want to do cross border banking.  They wont start you off with a high limit, and you may not even get the visa.  Its also a shame they don't offer extra points for Last Chance, but their prices are so low, nobody should complain.

My wife loves shopping there. I don't mind spending there as well. Wanted to take advantage of the perks. If you will.
