So about a month ago I tried for a CLI on my Walmart store card. The letter I got back said not enough premium bank accounts. What in gods great land of credit does that mean ? What should i do?
I'd say they mean prime lender like Chase, Citi, Amex, etc. That's the first I've ever seen that kind of decline reasoning.

Amex had similar with their reportedly declining some folks having a FP tradeline, think there's a number of other examples too.
OP: Out of curiosity, could you briefly describe what tradelines you do have on your report for us? Likely would be useful for everyone else chasing CLI's on Wally cards (like me!)

LOL, I have never heard of that reason. Why don't you call the backdoor number. I always get declined using the automated system and it is usually because of my student loans! However, I have never been turned down when I call and talk to the credit analyst
