I had a good call with OCCU upper management . I was informed that there indeeed was a security breach and it included numerous accounts not just recent opened accounts. He also informed me that it would take at least another week for them to sort everything out. He said there would be 2 options, the first would be to lift the freeze and card holders could continue to use it. The second option he said if they suspected fraud activity would be for them to issue another card, but keep the old account open to view fraud activity. And lastly he stated that if a they suspected a card holders account has been breach they would send them a secure message thru there account or sent info by mail. Hope this helps !!
Darn, I suspected as much - but to be clear, was it in fact a bank data breach? How on earth did you get a call to upper management, on a weekend?

RnJ, They actually called me. I have had the card for 2 months , did a small BT about 6 wks ago still has not cleared the other cc. Call them Wed about this matter, said they would call me back. Hence the phone call, after getting it resolved I then asked about the freezes. I was told it was a data breach, but they didnt know how many customers it has affected. There are some post on here that suggest that there reviewing all the recent accounts. But from what I was told , its a data breach.

Beaver card hold lifted this morning. Card now functioning again.

Received my cancellation letter today...Approved 20K early Jan...Never used it..6 other cards 20K plus line and 770 Fico no bads.
What did it say for a reason?
