OH NO!! AMEX BCP App

So, after being emboldened by my CSP success I decided to app for AMEX BCP.  Got pending review message.  Says I'll get something in the mail in 14 days.  

I'm assuming this means I'm declined?  Is there a recon number or a way to find out?

Google the AMEX application status page, some time the App isn't processed in  the 30 seconds or so they allow, and the card is approved by the time you check that page, if its is approved, you can call the phone number and get the CL via the automated system.

Did the same thing to me this morning with my AMEX Hilton Surpass card.

Yes but it will require another HP, and usually preceeded by you faxing in a copy of your credit report that shows good reason why you should be approved. Its an uphill battle to win the process but some here have reported success.  If they deny you, you can just wait another 45 days again and AP again, perhaps a Charge card is a good way to get in the door, PRG is a good card with AF waived the first year.

It took my DW 5 days in progress to finally be seen by an underwriter and get approved. i will advise you to wait for a result. checking the status page will be faster than mail, and not calling and pushing a descion might help you.

by the way they pulled the CR the same day they approved her, 5 days after the initial app.

I applied for the BCE last night. I am in processing too. =(   I guess thats better than the last three times I applied. Those were instant denials.
