i found macys acct in my equifax ( i believe this already closed)

account owner : individual
type of account : open
date opened : 03/2000
date reported : 04/2004

charged off amount : 0
balloon payment amount : 0
date of first deliquency : N/A
current status : pays as agree
credit limit : $.0
date of last activity : 04/2004
month review: n/a
type loan : charged account
NOTE : I FOUND 5 same account reporting / duplicate reporting, so looks like i have 5 macys acct in my equifax
my question is : is there any benefits if i just leave alone like that, or do i have to dispute ? since the original acct already closed about 10 years ago.thanks, advice really appreciated
I have the same thing with an old closed Macy's account from 1994 still being reported on TransUnion as being open and it's basically giving a boost to my credit because of the age of the account so I don't ever plan on disputing it. I figure, what TransUnion doesn't know won't hurt me.
I would leave everything alone. As long as any account in good standing is reporting as open it will help your AAoA and credit length history.

I thought "type of account: open" just means that it's a charge card.
Edit: Oh, I guess you refer to the "current status: pays as agreed" part .
even the credit limit $0 ?
thanks for the opinion
equifax say i have 9 open account , 4 credit card i have now plus 5 macys.

It doesn't matter what the CL, balance, payments, etc. shows it still is helping you and needs to be left alone.
Just my 2 cents.
