OMG NFCU Approval

I told myself I'd garden after I got my Firestone card but the itchy apping finger bit back at me. I was over my grandfather's house yesterday and I saw he had got some mail through NFCU. He was in the military and uses them on his current auto loan. So I took the chance to ask him if I'd qualify and come to find out I did.  I applied and gave them my $5 deposit via CC and my application was approved.

Fast forward to today I tried to login and couldn't so I called a CSR rep (very friendly btw) and told her I couldn't login and she told me I had to wait 5 days for a new account to login. As we were getting off the phone she asked me would I be interested in any of their credit products and of coarse I wanted to check them out. Long story short I talked with someone in their credit department about maybe applying for the basic "platinum card" (for a chance at approval) but she talked me into the NRewards so we went through the app and it went to review. Was on hold for about 5 minutes and I'm figured she'd say "sorry how about our secured card?" but she said Congrats we have approved you for 1.5k and she said Ihope thats sufficient (my jaw hit the floor)

Not bad for just starting my credit file in January. This forum has been such a big help and making me see how important credit can be and making me set up a direction I want to go. Thanks again NFCU You Rock!!! No more relapses until next summer :smileyhappy: Auto loan here I come

Re: OMG NFCU Approval

Congrats!!!

NFCU is very generous. As long as you treat them right, you will be rewarded. I started off just using them as a "second" bank; they have been very helpful and generous that they are now my "main" bank.

Love them!!! :smileyhappy:

Re: OMG NFCU Approval

Thanks all....I will be using the card as my main card as it's hard pumping everything through my discover card with a $500 limit and having to pay it off multiple times a month.
