Re: Oh Buckle --you're making me itch!!

LA = Lousiana. PacSun hardly carries designer jeans. I don't really want a CSP right now not a fan of Chase. Freedom hardly gets any use. I use AMEX and BofA mostly oh and Gap because I shop there and BR frequently. Would the BCE get 2% on these purchases? Are they considered department stores?
Current Scores: EX - 728 FICO (5/11/13) TU - 771 FICO (7/02/13) EQ ??

Current Cards: Chase Freedom $5,000, CSP $5,700, BofA Visa Signature $15,000, AMEX BCE $6,000, Walmart $4,150, Gap Visa $10,000, JC Penny $5,800, Lowes $8,500, Dillard's AMEX $8,000, AMEX Hilton HHonors - $2,000, Chase United $12,000, Citi AAdvantage & Simplicity $6,000/$6,000, SPG AMEX $1,000

I know I know I'm crazy. Why do I want a Buckle card so bad? I have no idea. I'm itching to app. It could be because I spend a ton in their stores, but the rewards suck! Give me a good reason not to apply so I can stop itching. My scores are steadily climbing and I have great cards (see below). Is it worth the AAOA hit??

Dude I hope you're not still shopping there in 5 yrs. There is a good reason not to apply. The card wont grow because their.clothes wont grow... they will always be targeting a certain demographic with their clothing. in a few yrs you'll be into nordstrom or macys or dillards. Hopefully.

Oh I have a BCE not BCP. I'm sure I'd more than qualify for CSP now if I applied just not that interested.

naw not a department store, man I was way off on the guess. Well either way I still think that this store card isn't worth your credit score improvements to slow down for. Good store yes. But is it something you see yourself with 2+ yrs down the road? its entirely up to you, im probably just biased because i think all of their shirts are paper thin and mens jeans have too many rhinestones on them.

You can always upgrade your BCE to BCP and use it for 3% There's a good reason not to apply

@Web I already shop Dillard's an Macy's. I'm not that old lol. Buckle won't out grow me designer jeans are designer jeans. One can wear them at any age. Some of these brands can be found at Nordstrom already just because they are sold there doesn't mean or not mean they are age appropriate.

Or they are stylishly ripped or acid washed. Neither of which holds up to the grind of a daily work week.

If you can see yourself wearing those jeans for the next five years... get the card! Ha I'm just trying to help you have reasons not to app. I used to wear designer jeans exclusively. Not so much anymore (I would rather save that money)

I would pass on this app as well.  You have a strong lineup that already includes some store cards.  Go for prime cards whose limits will grow.  I suggest US Bank Cash+, Barclay Rewards or a Penfed card.  Keep the arrow pointed upward.
