One GEMB Approval lead to another?

A couple weeks ago I got an Amazon GEMB store card with $800 limit. I want to get an Ashley store card, does getting Amazon mean I wont have a problem or is $800 as much as they are willing to risk across the board? 

My FICO is in the 650 range and i have a TL

Also if i applied for a GEMB card within the last month are they going to do another hard inquiry?

You will get another HP and it would be wise to garden that GE account for 4 months then ask for a CLI, then apply for another.

I received a JC Penney and Amazon card within the same month. It was 2 HPs.
