I agree with Oracles, if you he is credit aware, then fix your stuff asap, maybe look into some BK friendly cards, make sure you di this after your refi because they look at your recently acquired credit as a negative. Then you should be good to go and be able to remove yourself from the account. If calling doesn't work, and you are ready to remove, you can always dispute as not mine.

Based on the information you provided, removal would do far more harm than remaining as an AU. For your own protection, keep a close watch on the card activity; and, be ready (and willing) to do damage control when necessary. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
