Opening first credit cards

I have never had a credit card (besides a store card I opened 6 mo. ago). I opened my first card yesterday. I would like to open a few more cards (one from my CU specifically). Should I open more all at once or should I spread out opening new cards?

Re: Opening first credit cards

I don't know whats exactly best in your situation, but I do know that the inquiries, that will show up on your credit report when you apply for a card, stay for 2 years. So be selective when applying for credit. Congrats on your first credit card!

Getting a CU card now is probably a good idea, then I would wait at 6 months before doing some more.
