Orchard Bank (HSBC) Has Resumed Customer Initiated CLIs...Yay!!!

[ Edited ]

I just called in to request a CLI to Orchard Bank.  Instead of the their usual response of "unfortunately we are not accepting customer initiated CLIs..." the representative informed me that I would receive a response within 10 days about my request.  I asked him if customer initiated CLIs had resumed and he confirmed that they have.  Finally... It took them forever.:smileyvery-happy:

Do you know if it was a soft pull or a hard pull?

I haven't received an update yet to find out if it was a soft or hard pull.  I was declined... How awful.  2 weeks away from 6 months of having the account and they decline me.  Perfect payment history...  The representative said that the account will be "periodically reviewed....

I can confirm,  called back door number. Nice CSR put it through, the results were instant, went from 300 to 4500 :smileysurprised:, I think this was a mistake. I'm not gonna take it past 500 for fear this being a mistake.

I can confirm as well. After reading this thread, I called the backdoor number and spoke with a CSR who went ahead and put through a request. I only got a $100 CLI, though... from $300 to $400. I'm envious, LOL!!!!

It is what it is. I'll take it for now. :smileyhappy:

I was told it would be soft. I'll post back if I find out it wasn't.

The $100 bump sounds very much like Orchard.  $300-$4500 sounds weird for them, but stranger things have happened!

I can confirm this too! I just called the standard number on the back of the card after reading this thread and spoke with a CSR who said "I would be happy to help you with that"...got a $200 increase to bump me up to $1000 going to call again later for my 2nd card and hopefully get it up to $1300 from $1100.

Just called and they gave me a $200 increase. Initially she said it may be a hard pull, however, for mine she said it was a soft pull.

Re: Orchard Bank Has Resumed Customer Initiated CLIs...Yay!!!

Just got a $100 bump on mine too,  had the card for a year and a half and pay in full every month

Im glad their doing cli's again, but 100 bucks, thats malarky, i stopped using their card 2 months ago, and will probably cancel it since i have cards that are alot better.
