I checked my Orchard account planning on closing after it reports zero. They increased my limit from $300 to $500 had it since 2/8/11. I'm still closing it, though it served its purpose. Since then I have gotten other accounts with no annual fee up to $5000. I can't justify another $59 to keep it open another year. I do believe it helped a lot having Orchard as a second card. I kept at least 50% utilization on it since I have had the card, maybe paying it off twice. They must have got greedy for the interest.
Congrats. I have had my card for 4 years last month and I am still at $300. I have another card with $3200 so not a big deal. I think they might not give me one because I pay no annual fee so they might want to get rid of me.
If I didn't have an annual fee I would keep it to. The only reason I got the card was a year ago I got a Cap1 with no fee. I started to build my credit. I figured it would look better with two cards and it really worked thanks to everything I learned here. I left a balance every month because it seemed they showed no love to people that PIF.
my annual fee kicks in on Nov. Im getting rid of them.
Walmart just gave me an increase from $575 to $1200. All my cards are over $1000 but Orchard.
Cant have Orcahrd pulling me down and making me look bad.
