I sent Chase a SM asking them if I could PC my Marriott Premier Reward Visa Sig to a Freedom Visa Sig and they said no (response below). I've had the account open about a year and a half, so it's not because my acct is too new. Does anyone know if it's possible to do that PC or should I try calling Chase and press them further to see if they can PC me? Since I have the Ritz card now I mainly us it instead of the Marriott, so I'd like to get the Freedom for the bonus 5% categories and to have one less AF card.
Thank you for contacting Chase about product change.
I appreciate your patience and apologize for the delay in
responding to your inquiry. I'll be happy to assist you
with your request.

I think your issue is that you have a cobranded card. I don't think they allow PC of a cobrand to pretty much anything else. (It's funny though, I've had my Amazon only since December, so I cannot PC it yet, but when I called about lowering the APR which they declined, the lady did mention I could PC it in a year, though she didn't say to what).
I spoke to a card specialist once about a PC, according to a new credit card law they can't PC a card to another card that has a different APR variable. So if the Freedom has a variable APR of 13.99-22.99, but the Marriott has a fixed 15.99 APR, they can't PC them. You'd have to PC it to something that also has a fixed 15.99 APR, which is why they offered you the Ritz
