Hi All,
I would like to know if my request is successful in the coming weeks from my current Cash Rewards 123 cc, to the Accelerated Rewards AMEX. Does this mean I'm in the door with Amex? Thanks in advance!

hey kpresod!
no- the BOA Amex is a Amex card that is issued by BOA not American Express Centurian Bank (and other Amex subsidiaries). BOA and other lenders are authorized through various contracts and agreements to utilize the Amex network but the cards issued through these banks are not the same as the cards issued by American Express.

Also, you didn't mention this, but I would not recommend switching for the rewards either. The Accelerated Rewards only gets 1.25% cash back max, so unless you're *really* not using the bonus categories on it, I would stick with the the Cash Rewards.

I don't have it, but I feel the same way about about the Citi Diamond Preferred haha. No rewards, but it looks real good.
