Re: PENTAGON FED AMERICAN EXPRESS CARDS!!!!!

It looks really cool too... I think the best looking card in the PenFed stable. Check it out

I'm joining PenFed now, so I can apply for it in the future.

Re: PENTAGON FED AMERICAN EXPRESS CARDS!!!!!

Unlike other CU Amex offerings, this is indeed a PenFed administered Amex; not FIA administered, so defnitely worth a look.

Any card that charges an AF is subprime to me.  I'm just saying.  Smiley Wink

Unfortunately it's an uninformed opinion. There are many uber prime cards like Amex Platinum, Amex Centurion and Ameriprise World MC that charge hefty AF's.

I consider those uber cards subprime too.  One should not have to pay an AF to feel like they're a member of an elite group, or to receive exclusive benefits that they're essentailly paying for.

How is it an uninformed opinion? It's just an opinion.

Some people get enough rewards from a card that it's worth the benefits; some don't. I posted a long time ago that I figured that a $450 fee for an AmEx Plat was a vanity fee, and that I can be pretty vain, but I didn't think I was vain enough to pay $1.23/ day to have it confirmed. Smiley Wink But again, that's just opinion.

Anyway, you two, please spare us the resumed prime vs sub-prime debate! Smiley Tongue
