The premier rewards gold amex gives 3x points for flights purchased directly from the airline and 2x points for bookings on amextravel.com
So my question is in order to take advantage of both, would one have to for example buy plane tickets from delta for the 3x then book a hotel through amextravel.com for the 2x? I just chatted with a rep and she told me the 3x points for flights cannot be bought through amextravel, only directly through the airline to qualify.
Right. Flights from Delta.com for 3x and Hotel from AmexTravel.com for 2x.
