I noticed today that AMEX announced changes to the PRG.
They are adding 2X points for retaurants and a $100 airline credit but the annual fee is going up to $195 form $175. Also, no FTF.
Seems like an improvemnt since these added benefits will only cost $20 more per year.
I get $100 Airline credit on my BSP for $120/yr less.
I really hope amex adds perks to the plat .. possibly a point earning strutcture similiar to the PRG. People on flyertalk are saying that new perks are coming in march or april. I would even be fine with them upping the annual fee if they add PRG earning potential

Mr. Fancy Pants over here!
In seriousness, I might actually keep my PRG then - IF I can use the airline credit on vouchers with every airline.
Does AMEX airline credit work for that?

This is great news! I just got the card and love the new hotel and airline credit. The new fee makes up for these new perks!
Thank you AMEX!

Those are nice improvements on the PRG. Now if Amex can get rid of the FTF on the SPG card!
So in essense, the PRG is now the CSP. It's $100 more expensive, yes, but it has a $100 air line credit.
Quite the quandary for those who own both cards...
