Quite the quandary for those who own both cards...
PRG has gas and groceries which csp doesn't have, but they also have an higher AF and FTF.
The annual fee is $100 more than CSP but you get $100 airline credit which AMEX has known to be pretty liberal with what you can use this for. The PRG will no longer have an FTF.
You can carry a balance on CSP.

Sorry -- 1 more point for Amex Gold vs CSP -- we can do that too!

I just got the card about a month ago, could someone more experience explain how the airline credit works?
Thanks
Well it doesn't work right now. The changes take effect In June. When it does if you charge airline incidentals like baggage fees or seat upgrades on your PRG, they will automatically reimburse your account up to $100
Does everyones AF go up or just new card members?
Plat. needs to step up their game!

I read that it will apply to all current cardholders.

There are rumors that something will change in March or April for the better. Almost has to in order to differentiate between the two enough to justify the much higher AF
Yup, I'm happy about this change only because it means I'm DEFINITELY excited about the Plat. They have to do something to it and, if they make it a robust enough card, I'll put all my spend on it in a heartbeat.
Everyone's most likely.
They should have left the price the same, though. Make that $175 seem like its going towards something more tangible.
Its too bad i probably will never be able to get PRG signup bonus , thats unfortunate.
Honestly The features i like the best is the road side assistance haha ive used it twice.
