Paid Chevron in full before statement cut but still reported balance?

I've been working at paying my cards off before the statement cut so I can have all but one report a balance. I paid my Chevron bill in full on 2/6 and the statement cut on 2/7. The statement shows a zero balanve but GE reported the balance of $104.55 to the CB,s.

Do I need to pay the balance a few days before cut to get them to report a zero balanace?

I always allow 3 days for payments to clear YMMV

I would pay at least five days before closing date, many will

post to your account the same day you pay, just takes longer to process

payment, good luck

With GECRB Chevron you have to pay it at least 2 days in advance, even though your online center shows 0 balance they will officially hold the clearing of the balance for up to 2 days.

+1 It takes 48 hours for payment to post on acct. this has happned to us as well (frustrating since you have to wait another billing cycle)
