Re: Paid off my balances- Feels good!

Congrats! I don't keep credit card debt, but I am sure I will feel the joy once my school loans are paid off.  I have about 40k in student loans that I am going start tackling this year, and finish next year if I don't go to grad school.

Re: Paid off my balances- Feels good!

Congrats on paying everything off. Looking forward to doing the same thing once my big check clears this upcoming week with the bank. Over a year of high balances and now I'm finally going back down to 0% utilization.

On a related note, how long should one wait after paying off high balance cards to apply for another card? I know it sounds irresponsible, but I'm looking to replace my Best Buy rewards card with a cash back card like Chase Freedom or AMEX Blue Preferred for everyday purchases.

In My Wallet: Chase Southwest RR 6k | Best Buy CC 4.6K | Wells Fargo Platinum CC 1.4K | Amazon Store Card 3.5K | Banana Republic Store Card 3K
