Just wanted to let everyone know that my partner received a replacement Slate that has an EMV chip. It was a Mastercard and featured the traditional vertical design with printed account information. It is now branded as a Visa, and the new design is horizontal, features embossed account information, and includes a "cardmember since" date. The prominent "slate" name and the blue waves/color scheme were carried over.
