PayPal Credit as backup funding?

Hi everyone. I have the PayPal Business Debit MasterCard and I also have Comenity's PayPal Credit. I'm wondering if there is a way to use the PayPal Credit as backup funding for the debit card? It's not coming up as an option. Thanks in advance!

Re: PayPal Credit as backup funding?

I thought Sync backed both of these now and you can't have both. Confused?

No, you can not use PayPal reddit as a backup for the debit card.  You can us their MasterCard as backup but not PP credit

You can have the MasterCard debit card with PP credit.  You can't have PP Credit and their MasterCard credit card on the same account.

As stated many times before. Paypal Credit is issued thru Comenity.

Ebay Mastercard/Paypal Mastercard are thru Synchrony.

Just like apples and oranges, two totally different credit products.

To get both, you would have to have a Paypal personal account and then add one of the above options, then have another )2nd)Paypal account that is either a Premer or Business, and add the other.

And yes, an individual can have two Paypal accounts, as long as one is personal and the other Premier or Business.

Perhaps I was confusing Paypal Credit with Paypal Smart Connect which is backed by sync

Maybe, but Comenity is strictly Paypal Credit, whereas Ebay/Paypal Mastercard or Smart Connects are all Synch.

Re: PayPal Credit as backup funding?

Do you have a business account? I don't have a PayPal CC but when I checked backup funding option for my PP debit card it shows my bank account and below it also says if I apply for the PayPal CC my line of credit will be used as backup. My personal account doesn't have a debit card so I don't know if it's an option for personal accounts but it is showing up as an option for my business account.

I get that option too. I don't want to app for the CC. I just thought PayPal Credit (Bill Me Later, not smart connect or the extras card) could be set as the backup.
