Paying Chase CC in retail branch?

How does this work?  Do I just walk into any branch, produce the card I'd like to pay, and just give them a check?  I'd like to pay my Ink Bold today, and free it up for a large charge tomorrow.

Thanks and would appreciate any insights.

If you pay by check, I don't think the credit will be available in one day. I think it would have to be cash. I'm not 100% sure, I'm just going off of how it is at WF (since I work there).
