Paying with CC using PayPal

I was getting some landscape work done. Was told he takes CC. so now it's use my CC to pay him through PayPal.
Is this acceptable? Considered a cash advance? The bill came to $2150. I was going to run it on my Stash card.

Go right ahead.  It won't be considered a cash advance.

Re: Paying with CC using PayPal

It should be a purchase.   I sometimes use PayPal for online transactions where the vendor doesn't directly accept Discover, and I've never had an issue.

Re: Paying with CC using PayPal

Just be careful WHICH card you use.

I used Cap 1, and it was no problem at all.  I have heard horror stories about AMEX, so I will NEVER use AMEX with Paypal.

Funny thing is, I have a Paypal card.  Tried to use it to pay for my VPN, and Paypal wouldn't let me use my Paypal card.

Re: Paying with CC using PayPal

It's not considered cash advance, I use PayPal to sell/buy. They can have access to the funds right away but there's protection for the seller and buyer in case anything goes wrong.

Re: Paying with CC using PayPal

If it is your first time sending, they may hold the payment. They hold my payments for 1 day when I use a new card that I never used before.

Hmmmm which card are you trying to use? This happened to me when I tried using my Amex and was blocked, much smaller charges though. Finally tried another card (think my QS) and those same charges went through no problem. Later on, much much later I found out right here on this forum that Amex HATES PPal and can shut you down because people use it as a portal to funnel money...I've seen it happen.
