PenFed/Nasa/Boeing CU experts

What do you think my chances are with them for a credit card it with a decent limit?

Problems

*thin file.  2 open TL's and 1 closed in good sanding

*1-2 paid collections depending on CRA

EQ is my best.  Only one baddie and 1 hard inq.

TU is second best.  Two baddies and 1 hard inq.

EX is the least friendly.  Two baddies, 5 hard inq.

All three CU's are easy membership for me.

01/07 scores: Too scared to find out after looking at my free CRA reports
03/08 scores: TU: 660 EQ: 646 EX: 624
09/09 scores: TU: 735 EQ: 778 EX: ???
02/10 scores: TU: 779 EQ: 801 EX: 798 (home loan officer pull)
03/14 scores: TU 799 EQ: 809 EX: 817 (car loan credit union pull)
All that hard work paid off!!!! I'm now a happy home owner with an awesome interest rate!

CC Limits Garden Amex Clear $23000, USAA World Amex $15000, USAA Wold MasterCard $15000, BECU Visa $10,000, PenFed Visa $15000. Took a long time to get nice limits and low interest from that first app to BECU for $500 when I first started cleaning up my reports.

Any recent app's or INQ's? Are the baddies resolved, i.e. paid CA's and how old? What are your scores?

Re: PenFed/Nasa/Boeing CU experts

EX is the only one with recent inq.  2 recent from 9 months ago.  Everthing else is over a year to nearly two years old.

Baddies all paid off 2 years ago, but the CA's are messing with how they're reported.  Show up as factoring companies, not in the collections bucket.

boireann,

What are the CLs on your open accounts?

What are the age of your open accounts?

Re: PenFed/Nasa/Boeing CU experts

Everything is new.  And just two TLs now that I've finally paid off the final student loan.

I have $1k left on a $5k loan opened in March of 2008

And the Visa is $5k, opened November 2008 with $0 balance.

.

The only old thing I have is the closed in good standing loan. That one is 15 years old. TU says this one will report for 8 more years.

My file almost looks like I'm barely out of high school now that all the really old good TL's have aged themselves off my files.

Re: PenFed/Nasa/Boeing CU experts

Haven't bought them recently.

At the beginging of the year when I had 3 baddies showing on all three reports they were

TU 691

EQ 685

EX 660

I was holding off on buying them again until I got rid of at least one more baddie.

Re: PenFed/Nasa/Boeing CU experts

I know nothing about Boeing.

I believe NASA does multiple pulls. For some reason they never really stimulated much interest in me beyond having cool looking cards.

PenFed may be the ticket for you. I believe my EQ FICO was around 690 when I was approved. I also had reporting, resolved old baddies and some UTIL (maybe 20-25%). If you are inclined to app PenFed be sure you do it first and recon if you have to.
