PenFed- You are AWESOME!!!

I apped for Platinum rewards today, referred to loan officer. I called and asked could they take the CL from my AMEX, close it, and approve me for platinum rewards. The first agent said she would put a note on the application. I called back to make sure they wouldn't decline me and close my AMEX.  The lady put me on hold, and after about 10 minutes she came back and said, you are fully approved for Platinum Rewards, and you can also keep your AMEX. Both have $5,000 limits. AWESOME!!!!!  Now I get 5% on gas, and 5% on airlines purchases. I absolutely love PenFed. I have no idea how they keep approving me. High 600 Fico, and ALOT of inquiries.

Yeah, when you apply for membership they make you deposit $5 in a Share Account.

not really, with my 20,000 point sign up offer on the PenFed amex, i already bought a $100 starbucks card, and a $100 walmart card, so not a big loss, but i do wish i had read that post beforehand.
