Re: PenFed credit card payments

I set up an allotment to my share savings once a month. When I want to pay more, I initiate a transfer from my PenFed online to withdraw from my other bank. Posts on the same day, but takes 2-3 days to come out of my other bank account.

I simply pay from my checking account. Have never had a problem, and you are not bound by a $50 transfer limit.

Re: PenFed credit card payments

i'm bound by $50 for the first six months. i set up billpay through chase, they can only mail a check on my behalf, but oh well. i'll suffer through the wait for six months.

You're not bound by $50 payments from your checking account to them. I use PenFed specifically for my gas, and from the beginning I've paid them hundreds in gas each month in payments directly from my checking account. I've never mailed them a check.

Re: PenFed credit card payments

I can only do up to $50 at a time from my BofA account into my PenFed account.  I don't have a credit card with them yet, but plan on apping in about a year.  My PenFed account is not quite 6 months old.  Will they eventually lift that maximum?  Right now, I have it set to automatically transfer $50/week although most weeks I do another one manually.  I'd like to build up that account for when I do app but doing $50 at a time is not building it up very fast.

Barclays USAir World MC $8300 - DCU $7500 - USAA World MC $7000 - PayPal Extras MC (GE) $5500 - Chase Saphire Preferred $5000 - Discover It $6000 - Barclays Sallie May $2700 - Chase Freedom $1000 - Capital One $8500 (business) - store cards ranging from $500-$9500
