I know I can get into navy, don't know about penfed but it has its perks too. When it's time should I try for both. Navy is awesome!!! They have so much to offer and you can start taking advantage as soon as your membership is approved! They are great.
I think you are doing yourself a diservice by not joining and getting credit card and loc with navy NOW!

I don't think you would have a problem with Chase. After my first Chase card I added NFCU card and the LOC, PenFed and NASA cards along with several other cards without problem. As long as you keep utilization down, you'll be fine.
