Btw, the next best "gas card" from PenFed is the platinum rewards which gives 5x points on gas, but it is equivalent to around 4.25% cashback.

So I just called my local PenFed and just realized that it was cash back "at the pump". I've noticed that in the US, it is common, but where I'm from, I'm yet to find a gas station with "at the pump" payment. I guess it was a good thing for me, since I would have been earning just 1% like a fool.
