Got the Discover for 1500
Freedom for only 700, they woman was really hesitant, said 500 initailly
Wondering if its worth it to try the Amex Green or Gold...afraid of rejection lol

go for Amex, Freedom and Discover are harder to get in my experience

Amex gave me a 7-10 days wait, then app status said declined. I will give them a call tomorrow.

I would wait until the denial letter comes in then call. AMEX is a tough one to recon, it has to be something inaccurate with their denial reasons for them to reverse.
The automated service mentioned my TU report, so I am hoping I can explain the erroneous collection on that report. Do you think I have a chance?

If you can prove the collection is erroneous and thats the main thing they declined you on yes.
