Playstation card - Easy $300 Cash Back?

Does anyone have this Playstation card? It's from Chase.

http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&categoryId=8198552921644604396&XID=A:1225267:10396361:u202706t1139525f0fp0c0s525:CJ&XID=A:361116:10396361:FW7lsic7:CJ&ref=http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/finance/711457/m13396432/

I am thinking of applying for it but I am confused about what you need to do to qualify for the first $100 in cash back.  Up top it says "for a limited time receive a $100 card credit when you purchase a PLAYSTATION®3 system at SonyStyle.com"

But then below in the terms and conditions, it does not specifically mention that the $299 needs to be spent on a Playstation:

"Your first single sales receipt purchase equal or greater than $299 ("Qualifying Purchase") must be made by 3/31/09 and will automatically qualify you for a first $100 Statement Credit."

So do I have to buy a Playstation to get the first $100 cash back, or can I just make a single purchase anywhere (i.e. not at the sonystyle website) on anything that is over $299 to qualify for the $100 cash back?

I'd think the Ts and Cs to be correct. It sounds like they are trying to "nudge" consumers into purchasing PS3s.

thanks for the info.  I heard somewhere that Sony makes it a pain to get the cash back you've earned and in general is just a pain to deal with....

anybody have opinions on that?

Random html geek note:

Unexpected smiley faces pop up when you copy/ paste or type something that ends in quotation marks " or a colon : or a semi-colon ; or a comma , followed by a close parentheses ) .

By now, I've seen them pop up in enough embarrassing and inappropriate spots that I now always put a space between a ; and a ). Smiley Very Happy

did anybody get this Sony card?  I haven't seen a better offer than the $300 cash back and 0%APR for 12 months.

[ Edited ]

does anyone have experience applying for this card?

$300 bonus offer expires on 2/28, does Chase normally extend these offers?

Re: Playstation card - Easy $300 Cash Back?

I am interested in opening both Citibusiness and this Sony card.  If I open Sony card first would this hurt my chances of getting Citibusiness (my FICO scores are good but I'm worried because I heard Citibusiness approval process is tough).

Would it help if I apply for both simultaneously

(because that way each inquiry won't show up in time for the other bank to see it?)
