Possible Amazon.com Chase Visa Product Change?

Possible Amazon.com Chase Visa Product Change? Options ‎06-27-2014 09:10 AM Hello, I'm new to this forum, sorry if this questions has been answered already ...

I'm currently holdign an Amazon.com Chase Visa card, for about 11 month.

I received an automatic credit limit increase of 100% of the original credit line at roughly the 3-month-mark since account opening.
I've tried to call the customer service number and ask if it's possible to do a product change but they all said it's impossible to do such thing on a cobranded card.

So, I'm wondering, if anything here have had success doing a product change from an Amazon.com Visa to another chase card such as Freedom?

Thanks very much!

Currently a grad student, and in my wallet there exists my only 4 credit cards: Barclay Arrival+ 56k / Chase Sapphire Pref 68.2k / Citi Prestige 45k / Merrill Accolades 175k ; my student id card and a couple two-dollar bills.

You'd rather have a Freedom over the Amazon?

And No, you can not PC a co-branded card for whatever reason.

But, you can still apply for a Freedom if you want one.

Once you get the card and activate it you have a couple options.

1) You can close the Amazon card and move its entire credit line over to the Freedom, if you only want one Chase account open. (Effectively a CLI on the Freedom on day 1)

2) Move part of the Amazon cards credit line to the Freedom and leave the Amazon open with a lower limit.

3) Keep both as they are!

Sadly ou'll take a hit for another INQ and a New account.
