many dream of the penfed pre approval and you can't decide rather to take a basic approved card being offered!!! I die

LOL!

A year ago I felt the same way. At this point a card must fit into my credit strategy to have a place at the table.

I'm deciding if I want to lower my AAoA and deal with managing another card.

Re: Pre-Approval staredown

If you have a preapproval on a cc you already have, you will have the option of getting a second card or have the preapproved amount be a CLI.

+! unless the card is more useful than what you currently have, it doesn't matter who offers it.

I really want a PenFed card but I know they don't like me still.....so tempting to apply for the Defender card though

It took me about a year and a half before they offered me anything.

Penfed tends to take a long time.

Okay.

After analysis, it fits my credit strategy and bumps out my chase freedom.

Re: Pre-Approval staredown

So I'm guessing the "Featured Members Offers" aren't really that special then....

Re: Pre-Approval staredown

I think that the "Featured Members Offers" are just marketing.
