Preslected NFCU OFFER

Mom joined NFCU about 2 months ago. due to her possibly getting her mortgage through them. Long story short she decided to use another company. But today she logged in and recieved a preselected offer for the Platinum Card for 0% for 15 months on BT and of course no transfer fees. Now this sounds so amazing but she has NO debt. Only uses her Chase freedom and PIF every month. Like Dang Navy send me that offer. LOL But after mortgage is done probably will have her app for CashRewards or Go  Rewards.

Yeah, definitely not time to jump yet.   As for me, I'm waiting for a GoRewards spend offer to come back.

Re: Preslected NFCU OFFER

They must have hit the "button" for pre-approvals... I got an email on 5/1 that I'm preapproved for an auto loan (too bad I'm not shopping for a car).

Out of curiosity I checked my NFCU dashboard, and the language there was "pre-selected" (not "pre-approved").  Just now I checked and that offer is gone altogether and in it's place is an offer for a 'Personal Loan' (but the 'pre-selected' language is nowhere to be seen).

Since I app'ed for my Platinum MasterCard the same day I became a member I suspect I'll never see an offer for a credit card.  Smiley Frustrated

Re: Preslected NFCU OFFER

I got the same pre-selected offer for the Platinum card.  I've only had the Cash Rewards for one month.  They gave me a nearly $18,000 SL.  I have no idea why they already want me to have a second card.  I'm satisfied with what I already have.

Ah, so they can do a pre-select for a card for somebody who already has one!  This is good to know... thanks for sharing!  Smiley Happy
