Product change citi

Is it possible to have a the thank you premier card converted to the double cash? I'd rather not have an annual fee and have straight cash. I've had the card going on 6 months. Of course a minimum time may have to pass and I'm fine with that. Can a refund be issued as well if I have to wait longer than a year to product change? I'm not going to die over the fee, but money is money and if I cold keep my money that'd be nice. Additionally is it a soft pull or another hard pull? Looking into getting a home loan soon so I want my scores to stay consistent or go up. Will it show up in my reports as a new line or will it just continue where the thank you card ended. I really should of numbered this, sorry wasn't expecting to write this much

I would hope so b/c I converted my Citi DC to TY Premier, and requested my cash back to be sent to me by check, which they did.

Re: Product change citi

When I changed my Thank you preferred Visa to a Mastercard manually it was considered a PC and I didn't get a HP done when I asked but YMMV

Re: Product change citi

I had the Citi AA card which also came with an AF and I did PC to the Double Cash with no issue. I did not bother asking for a refund on the AF though so I have no idea if they would offer  prorated refunds when asked.

Re: Product change citi

Yeah seems like It should be able to be done then. When you all product changed how long did you have the original cards for?

If your card has a 0% APR signup promo then you will have to wait until that is over.

I think I had it about 14-16 months if I remember correctly .... was only waiting for  the AA card to come with no FTF and Barclays did it Smiley Happy with the US Airways merger
