I think it's pretty safe to say that it was all just a prank.  I'd forgotten about it until I saw it bump again.  :smileytongue:

It sounded way too much like TannerK, who was just an attention-starved kid. I wouldn't waste my time waiting for a reply. Even if he did, pics can easily be photoshopped these days so they hold little value with regards to authenticity.

Do people really have nothing better to do than wait for something that sounds this incredulous?

Re: Pulled the trigger, I am now a proud Centurion :)

Why is this thread still alive? Here is the deal for us centurions. Basically no new personal centurion cards have been issued in 2011 and 2012 so far. Recently, some business centurions invites have gone out. A few centurions have been issued by special case. Maybe if you get gold medal in upcoming olympics, they will offer you centurion without credit check. It's not that centurion is so prestigious. It's the opposite. Amex scared they diluted brand because they were so easy to get for a while so they stopped sending them out. So right now for almost everyone, the options are. One, be made au on existing centurion. Two, get Icc or idc centurion card which is pretty easy assuming you have some decent funds. Three, be special and make special request to Amex marketing and get one without a credit check even.

Forgot one other option. For online centurion, photoshop. For real world centurion, credit card duplication machine and card swipe reader.

Even though the OP was full of it, at least we were able to learn more about the Centurion Card from the other posters which I appreciate.

I'm sure people with Centurion cards have better things to do than to come on these forums and boast about what's in their wallets.
