Re: Pulled trigger on offer from BoA

So they will work with you to change to a rewards card from a non-rewards card?  I have the BankAmericard I got about a month or 2 ago to balance transfer some balances from cards that had interest so I could get things under control and now regret not getting the rewards card.  I chose the BankAmericard because it advertised a lower overall interest rate yet I didn't really get a good interest rate anyways and the rewards would work out better in the long run since I don't intend on carrying balances on it.

------$5900-----------$3800-----------$5500-----------$8000-----------$1100---------$13000----------$4000-----------$7000------
Goodyear Service - $2000, Ford Service $2000, Discovery Furniture $8000

The day after I was approved I called the recon # and requested that my new card be changed to the cash rewards. The guy said I will still get my Americard in the mail shortly, and then my new cash rewards card will come a few weeks after once they processed the change. He said it will be on the same TL but will have a different account number since it is a rewards card. No HP was needed, and it took about 5min total. They did it for me so I don't see why they wouldn't do it for you as well. Just call the recon # found on this site. Good Luck

Fun stuff.  Just for fun I hit for a CLI and managed to go from $2500 to $7k too; so might as well get some rewards going on it next!  Obviously, I'm not here, nice bit of resources to learn how to get things done and what you can do with credit, especially for someone younger like me getting into it!

No idea yet, but guess I'll certainly find out here sooner or later.  Hopefully just a soft pull...I've only had the account for about 2 months so that'd give me two HPs for just the one account already!  Plus a car refinance .... I've definitely got enough HPs for a while right now.

It turned out to be a HP; at least this time.  But the account is new, so maybe that was why this time, who knows.

Re: Pulled trigger on offer from BoA

I checked some threads...looks like BoA is pretty much always a HP for CLI's.
