Purchase APR reductions

Late yesterday afternoon, I was bored and I decided to call some of my cardholders to see if they could lower my purchase APR.  I normally pay my balances in full before the statement date, so I either pay no or little interest each month.  Listed below are the results of my phone calls:

BofA Accelerated Cash Rewards AMEX - 17.24% to 9.99%
BofA Cash Rewards Signature Visa - 13.99% to 12.99%
Discover - 12.24% to 11.24%
Amex Blue - 14.74% to 11.74%

BofA told me to call back in 6 months to see if I could get a better rate for the Signature card.  I was surpised that I was able to get a rate reduction with Discover over the phone.  In the past, one had to fill out a form and mail it back to them.

Re: Purchase APR reductions

9.99 is a really good rate for any decent rewards card, even 11 and change isn't bad.  Typically the trade off with rewards cards is higher APR, your doing very well!
