Question about CL increases

Is it possible to request a CLI and not get a hard pull?  If so, how is that done?

Thanks.

Re: Question about CL increases

Depends on which bank.  For example, Chase CLIs will always be a HP.

It is a local bank where its cards are run by Elan.

Re: Question about CL increases

You can ask them in person if it is @ your local bank.  They can let you know whether or not it will be a HP before actually putting in the inquiry.

Re: Question about CL increases

A lot of creditors use HP's for customer initiated CLI's but there are certainly creditors that use SP's.  I don't have a list off the top of my head but this is a very common topic.  IIRC AmEx SP's.  Take a look at the 3X CLI thread.

Depends on the CLI as well.  My wife has had a couple of Chase auto CLI's with no HP.

No idea.  Ask them or try checking other threads:

Re: Question about CL increases

Even though it is a local bank, we may be able to help more if you gave us the name of the Bank.
