For BCP, there is a $150 cash back after spending $1,000 within the first 3 months of Cardmembership, but it also says Offer valid for first-time American Express Cardmembers only. So If I already have a BCE, then this offer won't apply right?

I was worried about that, too, because I already have an AMEX. (I applied, was approved, and then saw here that I may not qualify.) I called customer service the other day and the CSR said no, it looks like my account does have the bonus offer applied to it. So if I meet the spending requirement, I should get the bonus. I suppose we'll see...

Just to throw out an additional confirmation, I got Clear in February 2011 and applied for BCP in December. I, too, got the bonus.

Is it possible to convert BCP to BCE to avoid the annual fee?

I took it to mean first time cardholders for that particular card.

I believe so but I'm not sure how long you have to wait to do that, if you even have to wait at all.
