Question about tradeline

Let's say I had 1 tradeline for 6 months and product changed and it opened a new tradeline. How would other CCC's look at it? Would it be considered 6+ months for the overall tradeline or would it start fresh?

It will depend on how it shows up on your credit report.  If it shows up as the old account closed and a new account opened, then you have two new accounts, one of which was closed.  If it shows up as a new tradeline, but they delete the old tradeline from your account, it will be one account 6 months old.  Not bad, but you will lose any payment history.  The best is if it the CCC does a true PC where you keep the old TL with history for the new card.   It will depend on your CCC which one is done.

My oldest CU does the first.  I have heard BoA (and most CCC's now), let you keep the old TL.   But it will be YMMV.
