Mine did the same as well like, Simply827. $29.99 seemed a bit excessive in my opinion for a light piece of plastic...
the only time i expedited was a year ago when i got the Freedom and Sapphire-no extra charge so what the heck.
i just approved on friday, i opted not to do expedition, partially because of price, partially because i know it would get dropped off when im not there anyways.
I just applied and got instant approval this morning. I opted for the fast card service, since I plan on using it to book a hotel room this weekend (Hopefully). After approval, it took me to set up my account. I noticed the last 4 of the new card were already posted on the account. I assume that's promising. Fingers crossed it will be here Friday. Only concern is it says "Signature for Delivery Required" I work days, so this could be an issue.
Card delivered today. 10:23am via FedEx.

Congrats to you
Didn't pay. Rcvd card in about a week.
I was approved on the 11th, card arrived today on the 19th. No expedition.

New shiny today Yay
I'd never pay $30 to expedite a card, but if you urgently need to use it over the internet you still can (sometimes). If you call them and explain that you need it ASAP they could give you the card number and the expiration date; however they can't give you a security code since they can't see it. Now, while most websites require the security code, some still don't, like Amazon, for example.
