At time of approval, I had three Amex cards, two charge cards and one revolver, one other Chase card and one Citi card. AAoA was around 8 years.

Not sure what qualifies as prime cards, but here is what i had before I applied and got CSP. Amex Gold, Chase Freedom Visa sig, City Platim World Elite, Walmart Discover, Capital One Platinum somthng somthing. Got CSP 2 months ago for 27.3K limit.
Best results are to take it slow and garden what you have and take care of any derogatory information on your credit reports.
I started on 2010 with two subprime cards.
Orchard Bank and Merrick. Chapter 13 BK still in the records.
Got periodical CLI's. Got more amounts from Merrick than with Orchard.
2011 I was approved for USAirways/Barclays.
Again hit the garden, received CLI's twice a year.
2012 - May - Was approved for a car loan with Chase at the best rate,
2012 - Aug - On a lark I applied for a store card. I was looking a watches at Omega Boutique and was approved for 10K.
On Sept 2012 my BK fell off my reports.
2013 - Feb, Finally got the nerve and pulled the trigger on the CSP. Automatically approved for 5K, I was able to recon to 8K.
2013 - March - I applied for USAA WMC and was instantly approved for 12K and also finally was approved for the AMEX PRG.
I am done for the next 2 years.
You do not need to apply for a ton of cards to get the right Score. You just need to be responsible with what you have and work to remove any bad info on your report.
For me, it was a journey, it took time, dedication, patience and above all self control.
I reached my goals and did not deviate the path.
You can do the same.
PS
The CSP is aluminum sandwiched between plastic.
The CS is just plastic.
Thanks for the replies. A lot f useful information for me to ponder.
Thanks for all your answers and thanks for accepting apology hahha, LAST question when applying for the Chase Sapphire(REGULAR SAPPHIRE ) where is the Mastercard logo located on the back of the card? or the front?? Also is the MC logo red and orange OR silver? because ive noticed that usually the WORLD ELITE MC are shiny silvers as well as the VISA signatures. Again thanks!
It's on the back and it's silver
even if its a regular sapphire with lets say a $2k-3k CL??

Even the regular sapphire card required a 5k credit line, like the CSP
Oh wow!!! didnt know that! do you think that having a $3k CL cc backed by US Bank be enough to even qualify for CS or CSP??
Not with no annual income, if your sig is still correct.
