Question on 'co-branded' Amex apps...

I'm trying 'desparately' to get Amex to pull Efax. Did some research on CreditBoards.com and looks like for some cards a decent change.

I've also read here that co-brand cards (e.g. Citi Amex) pull Efax.

My question is this; IF I can get this pull to happen and IF I get approved, can I still get Amex to report from my old closed card date (1980).  This is the whole reason to app, to get a card reporting with an old history. Or will this really be a citi card that citi controls?

Thinking about perhaps;

Citi only uses the Amex network and has nothing to do with AMEX the bank.

It will not get your account backdated.

the bank behind the card, in this case citi, controls the terms.  needs to be full amex, not co-branded, to be eiligble for old amex acct. resurrection.
